Upgrading my girlfriend's PC

My girlfriend has been getting my PC hand-me-downs for a couple of years now and I think it's time for her to have a real upgrade. She is currently running an i5 4460 with a GTX 1070. Her graphics card is fine but I think it's time for a full CPU, MOBO, and Memory replacement. I was thinking of waiting for the new Ryzen 3300. Any thoughts/suggestions?

I suppose I should add she mostly plays RPGs. The Witcher is her favorite.

3300X and a B450 Pro4 with 16GB DDR 3200 is optimal. That's basically a 7700K for 100$

That is exactly what I had been reading. A lot of people seem to recommend the B450 Tomahawk.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. I had looked at the 1600AF before reading about the 3300X and it did seem hard to find.

Tomahawk is overpriced. The X570 Prime P is almost the same price and MUCH better usually
