Long time listener first time poster.

Weird things happen during quarantine. So I have a desktop and this kind of janky little laptop. Well....I needed to charge my phone and decided to plug it into the laptop like a weirdo. Then all of a sudden got a message about DEX for PC. So I was like, "WHAT IS THIS ABOUT SAMSUNG!". So I download open it up and have dex on my laptop and my laptop on my second screen. So this janky little laptop hated having the windows I needed open cause well... Chrome is a memory whore. So now I open Jupyter notebooks on the big screen and tableau, also kind of thirsty. And then have my docs/git/slack/etc open in DEX and it is like a new laptop all over again. Still don't like it that much but eh.. Options are cool.

Also I think that DEX might allow more chrome tabs than anything else.

No idea what you are after in this post...

I do really like the idea of Dex, I just wish that it was just straight-up screen mirroring and available on all devices. If I could seamlessly run Linux (even in a chroot like with Linux Deploy or something) on my phone with it plugged into multiple monitors, keyboard, and mouse...I would consider replacing my desktop with it (or my laptop, idk).

Quote me to see my reply!

@kelvinhall05 I was just sharing this new weird way to get a little more power/life out of old machines. I mean you look at some of the laptops from even 5 years ago like low end buy for college type stuff and using it with an S20 it is now a more powerful machine.

I just thought it was an interesting thing that is why I posted it in general. Like my laptop is a 2 in 1 so the touch screen functionality actually still works on dex which is pretty weird especially when just recently Unbox Therapy had a system that was meant to be for the s20 as just as an empty shell dex laptop.

Just find it interesting and thought if there was a college student or business professional out there dealing with poor comput power and wanting multiple usable displays it was a cool 'hack'
