Hi all,

I am new so hope this is the right place and okay to post this question. As I am definitely not an expert in laptops, I have done some research through reviews and found this laptop which I ordered last month. In general, I am very happy with it and performs well. One thing I do wonder is why the boot time is so long...? It take 20-30 seconds before Windows has started. Should this not be done quicker? This seems very comparable to my old laptop, which didn't even have SSD. Hope you can help. Thanks!

Yeah, my X230 boots super fast, even with just a SATA SSD and seven-year-old dual-core CPU. A much newer machine should not be taking that long.

I had this laptop before - Loved it and the reason I went for a ThinkPad again. Also the reason i find it strange that it takes so long to boot. Hmm... maybe I should disable  "secure boot". "fast boot" is already enabled.
