I am thinking about buying a new rx 580 or 590 and I was wondering if they will support directx 12 ultimate

At the moment it does not seem like it, as DX12 Ultimate carries some pretty specific requirements. At the moment only the RTX cards have all the standards required (so non of the RX 5x00 cards, GTX cards, Have these standards).

DX12 Ultimate is part of DX12 so in theory yes it does. In practice develops get to say whether you can turn on such option, and you cant blame them when they decide to not give Polaris the ability to run effects that need DX12 Ultimate. After all without dedicated hardware, it has to brute force through a lot of things which tends to ruin performance

I have a 580 modded to the future and i love it most current graphics cards just use fancy 60hz acceleration tactics to look faster I like my RA 60hz 99% getting every frame and detail. oh yeah mod it.
