Doom Eternal

[Master PC]

My next game would be Doom Eternal, which was released last month.

 

When I checked Game Debate, my CPU and GPU didn't even close to the minimum requirement, even though I am using an i7-9700K and a RTX2060 Super.

 

Will my PC turn into a roast if I run this game?

The bottom seems to be for 4K.  It states clearly on top that your PC can run the game just fine:

It will run smooth on your setup. Make sure you use Vulkan API

What are you using to check the specs? Just use the specs listed on the game page on Steam or whatever. Also any PC from the past 6 years should be able to run this game.

doom eternal is well optimized, and will run on even relative toasters. I wouldn't put any trust in any of these "system requirement" sites. Hell, I don't even trust the publisher's MSR's.

You;re looking at the recommended, not minimum. And while your system is slower than what's recommended, it'll run fine on high (not ultra) at 1080

Recommended is surely not a 9900K and 2080TI?  That's gotta be for 4K most likely.

Doom Eternal will run great on a even an RX 580 at 1080p on high or better.

Regarding CPU - since we're using Vulkan here, I think the 2600 is probably fine.

 

As for me, I play at 1440p and 100hz fixed on ultra and it mostly stays there.

for shits and giggles, went to game debate and this is what it told me

 

 

Medium or high at 1080p, bois (this is a lie, i play 1440p on ultra and am not GPU bound at 100fps most of the time, lows probably in the 70s RARELY)

Doom eternal runs very smoothly (easily >100fps at 3440x1440, Ultra Nightmare) on my 2nd rig - i7 3960X, Asus Rampage IV Extreme, 16GB RAM, GTX1080), so OP's 9700K + RTX2060 should have an easy time with it as well.
