Somethings wrong please help

Hello so I have a msi geforce gtx 1060 6gb ocv1 and a viewsonic VX2758-P-MHD monitor. I have always been able to play 144hz 1920x1080 but now my resolution can only go to like max 1024x768 140hz... I've reinstalled windows, reinstalled graphics drivers, gpu roms.... I've tried to install monitor drivers but it says it doesn't detect it...it keeps switching to generic non pnp instead of my monitor...and when I do get the driver to stick I try to get 1920x1080 resolution and my screen blacks out. I have to turn my monitor off and on for it to put generic non pnp back on. Idk what is happening as I've plugged my monitor into my xbox and it get 1920x1080 120hz just fine. And if I game on my gpu it's still working and using the gpu. I noticed that its showing 4:3 instead of 16:9 in fortnite resolution. Plz help

What happens if you go to the "advanced display settings"?

The "non plug n play monitor" part bothers me, I haven't seen a non-pnp device in a long time

What happens if you add your troublesome monitor in as a secondary display, what happens?

ive tried reinstalling monitor drivers like I said the ones for my monitor and it will install but blackscreen then reinstall non pnp

my monitor black screened, and now won't detect as a second monitor. if I turn my tv, I can then turn my monitor on and it detects it as main monitor but only when other tv is off and again as non generic pnp
