I haven’t bought them yet, Because I’m building a brand new pc. The cpu is  amd ryzen 7 2700

An RM550x, TX550M or even a CX550 will be enough

Hi i am considering buying a msi Radeon rx 5700 Mech oc but in the requirements it says it needs a 750 watts psu. Does that mean that I have to get a higher wattage psu to be able to power my cooling and motherboard and cpu stuff or getting a 750 watts psu would power all the components. Plz help.

You don't need 750W for a 5700XT, unless you've got a Threadripper running alongside it. What PSU have you got, and what are the rest of your components?

Also, have you got a particularly good deal on the Mech or are there other models you could get instead? The Mech hasn't got a particularly great cooler, something like a Powercolor Red Dragon or Sapphire Pulse would be better.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC

It’s just the only one available in my region. Also this is on the msi website. Amd gpus aren’t particularly common here.

It also says "Power Consumption: 180W" just above that, so realistically, no computer using a 5700XT is going to need 750W.
