Just trying to figure out if I get faster RAM with lower CL and higher Mhz will improve my performance in any way shape or form on Battlefield V. The reason I ask specifically BFV is because after doing multiple other tests with other components, BFV seems to be very different than other games based on how certain changes affect the games performance.

You forgot to mention what PC specs you have at the moment.

Most important pieces are your current CPU, RAM (including its speed and cas latency you're running) and videocard.

Plus a bit more context on why you think BFV needs faster memory would be great too.

Maybe? Spending money on faster RAM is really worth it though. the benefits are small, if tangible. Spend money elsewhere on the system, if you need to upgrade.

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Linux - Fedora

9900K

2080Ti

16GB X2 = 32GB 16CL 3200Mhz (XMP 1)

Also should mention I play with a 240hz monitor so I try to push the game as far as I can and I've seen reslults where faster MHz Ram seemed to help alot with FPS AVG on BF1 but thats BF1

9900k memory controller doesn't need the fastest memory but cl latency works in a way for e.g (just an example not 100% true)

Cl15 3000 is about the same as cl16 3200 so you can probably play with that a bit

Lower the cl latency and lower the frequency and vise versa

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

Lower CL works in a way, how so? by doing what?

Alright my bad maybe I didn't explain it correctly

So for example you have to kits of 2x8 dimms

One of these kits has a frequency of 3200mhz and a cl latency of 16 (cl16)

The other one has a frequency of 3000mhz and has a cl latency of 15 (cl15)

Now even tho the one with the 3000mhz frequency is technically slower it has lower cl latency which means it is practically a 3200 cl16 kit

So basically a kit with more cl latency but faster frequency will perform about the same as a kit with slower frequency and less cl latency
