This is a screenshot of fortnite. I have a msi rtx 2080 gaming x trio, a ryzen 7 2700 cpu, 32gb vengeance ddr4 ram, and X470 Gaming M7 AC motherboard, 750 power supply. I look at any videos of fortnite with an rtx 2080, and some of them have around 350 fps in game on low settings. I get around 200. but I have also noticed low gpu usage. Is there any way to fix this?

Ryzen 1000 and 2000 series CPUs don't perform as well as Intel at very high FPS (fixed in Ryzen 3000) -- Unless your FPS dips below your monitor FPS, it's nothing to worry about.

if you want to try something, you could ddu and reinstall

Most graphics card issues can be solved by uninstalling and reinstalling your GPU drivers. If you haven’t done this yet (or haven’t used Display Driver Uninstaller to remove drivers), I’d recommend using Display Driver Uninstaller, found here: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html (download links at bottom of page) and I’d recommend using the “Clean and Restart” option.

Once this is done, you can download new drivers by clicking on the links below and selecting your hardware.

can just that cpu make that big of a difference? I looked at videos with a computer with a ryzen 7 2700 and a i9 9900k and it was not that big of a difference. Should I save for a new cpu?

Only buy new hardware if your current PC can't do what you need. -- if you have a 240Hz monitor then yes, otherwise no.

At lower framerates (a more demanding game where your PC only gets 100FPS, for example) the gap closes significantly and they perform similarly.

If you're looking at benchmarks with the 2700 and your FPS is significantly lower than theirs on the same settings, then try to reinstall graphics drivers.
