Good build. I'd get a cheaper board like MSI B450-A Pro Max, and you don't really need that CPU cooler. (if you really want a CPU cooler, Wraith Max isn't the one to buy for $50)

You also don't need to buy windows for full price. OEM keys are available from gray-market sites like kinguin for a fraction of the price.

I just took your build and put in a cheaper motherboard paired with a 3700X (which already comes with the Wraith prism, so no need to buy aftermarket)

I upgraded the SSD to 1TB and got faster RAM too

CPU: 3600 is $20 cheaper, for essentially the same thing.

CPU cooler: Unless you must have RGB LEDs, coolers like the Arctic Freezer 33 and Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black offer more performance for cheaper. 212 Black RGB costs more ($2) but has RGB LEDs.

Board: unless you plan on getting greater core counts of CPUs on this platform, MSI B450 ATX boards are plenty and they save you $100.

Memory: RGB sticks cost a hefty premium as you might already be aware (especially when you stick to specific brands), but in this case 3600MHz is cheaper than 3200MHz which makes the 3200MHz kit you chose awful

The 3700X comes with the Wraith Prism (basically Wraith Max with RGB lights) already included in the box, so no need to buy a second cooler.

most B450 boards do need a BIOS update before using Ryzen 3000 series CPUs, but MSI's "MAX" Series of boards is specifically tailored to people who want cheaper boards on Ryzen 3000 and is guaranteed to come with a compatible BIOS out of the box.

alright, so if i use a msi max 450 with a 3k series no bios update needed?

the only reason i was ging wth 570 was due to the bios hassle, so this is great!

None. MSI B450 Max boards are preflashed for 3rd gen and ATX boards all have BIOS flashing capability without CPU, so if it doesnt work you could flash the BIOS yourself without needing another CPU (tho it needs another computer to get the USB with BIOS file ready)

@Jurrunio @RadiatingLight

so ive taken both your suggestions into consideration and i came up with this:

i switched the CPU for the 3700x for the Wraith cooler, got the 450, but changed it to one with onboard Wifi because i dont knwo where and how to get wifi cards and not sure if i have a ethernet connection. i kept the memory,  storage, gpu, case, and monitor. changed the PSU to the 650 watt like jurrunio said, and ill get a OEM windows key somewhere for cheap.

so this is good? does this 450 already have the compatible bios as well?

Yes, good build.

Since the motherboard isn't a "MAX" board (it doesn't have MAX in the name) it isn't guaranteed to have the correct BIOS but I'd say that there's still a 90% chance that it does have it. If not, AMD will send you a loaner CPU to flash the BIOS, but that's a lengthy process.

If you want to buy a dedicated wifi card, this is a cheap one: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/y8BTwP/rosewill-rnx-ac600pcev3-none-wi-fi-adapter-rnx-ac600pcev3

and this is a higher quality one but more expensive by a bit: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/m9WBD3/rosewill-rnx-ac1900pcev2-pcie-x1-wi-fi-adapter-rnx-ac1900pcev2

welp,  i looked it up on MSI's official site and it says this

Supports 1st, 2nd and 3rd Gen AMD® Ryzen™/ Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics / 2nd Gen AMD® Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Graphics and Athlon™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics Desktop Processors for Socket AM4

so it should be fine? if it is that great cuz it also has a wifi card so 2 in one

The B450 Gaming Pro Carbon has bios flashback so you can update it without a cpu if it doesn't ship with a working bios.

And of course you don't need to buy a wifi adapter as it has it built in.

There is actually a 'MAX' version listed on MSI website, but not sure it is available yet.

https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B450-GAMING-PRO-CARBON-MAX-WIFI

A 5700XT would save you some more money. The MSI RX 5700XT Gaming X for example.

I would also get the Corsair TXM over the EVGA GQ.
