Ram Overclocking

Hello everybody! So i want to overclock my RAM from 3200 mhz to 3600 mhz. Is that possible on an ASUS Prime X570-PRO? Also paired with a 3700x. Also, I only plugged in the 8-pin cpu header on my motherboard if that will affect it in any way.

Sure it's possible, it's more of if your ram or cpu can handle it. That 8-pin would help with the CPU overclocks, but I don't know about RAM speeds.

anything is possible...at least that's what my teachers told me.  

 

Before you attempt to OC your RAM make sure you know how to clear the CMOS on your motherboard, just in case.

I have g.skill ripjaws 3000mhz 15-16-16-35 that I couldn't get over 3333mhz on my b350/Ryzen 1400. The same kit is now running 3600mhz 16-18-18-38 on msi x570 mpg with a Ryzen 5 3600.
