Board price vs accessibility

Currently upgrading my system and am trying to decide between two boards that are roughly the same price. The Asrock B450 Steel legend is $110 and in stock on Amazon right now, and the MSI B450 Tomahawk Max is $120 but not in stock anywhere that I can find. I've heard that the MSI is better, but I prefer the aesthetics of the Asrock, and is the one that I can actually buy right now. So, should I wait and buy the Tomahawk once it comes back (which could take months, keep in mind) or just buy the Steel Legend right now? Thanks.

If you're building now just get the AsRock. Otherwise if you wait, I'd just wait out and see what comes from the next series of boards.

Depends on the CPU and whether overclocking is a criteria. Steel Legend has worse VRM and worse memory overclocking support.

CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600. Other than enabling XMP profiles, I don't overclock at all. I have MSI afterburner but I don't know what to do with it and aren't motivated to try and learn. Just doesn't seem worth it to me. I think I'll go with the Steel legend for the second m.2 slot in that case, thanks.

One who doesnt want to overclock even the GPU is umlikely to do anything to their CPUs

shows how much i know lol. regardless, not something i do, so not a factor. I prefer to not shorten the lifespan of my hardware if I can help it, so I stay away from oc's of any kind
