so im buying new ram and i just have a question what will perform better dual channel 8gb ram 3200 or 16gm ram dual channel 2400

What are you doing with your system? Is it possible to both get a higher speed set and 16GB?

From what I can see, going from 2x8GB 2400Mhz to 3200Mhz only is about 10 USD more.

It depends on what you are doing with your system. It also depends on what CPU you use.

For most people 16GB is just a good quality of life choice; just makes sure you never run into a multi-tasking situation where you needed more RAM.

The higher speed is usually not needed as much on the Intel side, but is a necessity on the AMD side (just like dual channel is something you should not go without on the AMD side).

Well you have only 2 DIMM slots and it's an AMD system so my recommendation would be a kit of either 2x 8GB DDR 3200 MHz or 2x 16 GB 3200 MHz. If you can afford it 2x 16 GB would be more future proof and you could always keep the RAM when upgrading to a newer platform later.
