Hey,

So I finally looking to get my first mechanical keyboard for gaming to replace my Logitech G213 prodigy. I have no idea what to look. I did watch Linus mechanical keyboard review but couldn't find the ones he recommended for sale in the UK atm. These are my requirements:

-less than £75

-quiet

-tenkeyless

-wireless

-available in the UK (US shipping and tax is crazy)

I will also be using it for typing due to home working at the moment so if its a good typing keyboard that will be a nice bonus.

Not gonna happen in this price range, you can get not crazy loud, but that's it.

Look into this : https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=Keychron+K2&ref=nb_sb_noss_2 it's like a tenkeyless, but layout is bit different.

Damn I thought it might be a longshot....how about quiet enough not to annoy people in the next room?

Linear or at least non clicky switch and your'e good to go. So reds, browns or equivalent of them.

Just avoid cherry/gateron/kailh/outemu blues and you should be fine. They're quite loud. I've heard some brands of switch are louder than others, like outemu, but I don't know how true that is as I haven't really looked into it myself.

As said above, look for linear or non clicky switches like reds or browns. They're generally quieter than clicky switches like blues.

I've used an MX Red board before and nobody in the next room could hear it. Red switches are quite light but also quite quiet, Black switches are like Reds but are a bit heavier. I can't remember what Brown switches are like, tbh.

I don't think the brand of keyboard really matters (unless you're focusing on software, then some brands may be better than others for you), as far as I'm aware build quality of all new mechanical keyboards is quite similar.

The biggest difference between brands is software afaik, I've only ever used Steelseries' software before so I can't say much about that (although steelseries' software is quite good, I've never had an issue with it).
