this is killing me.

i have a project that i need to make a video promoting a college course.

i have all the footage.  but it is in a .MOV format, and when i try and import it into premiere pro, it says the codec is missing or unavailable. i have s much footage of little files it takes many many hours to converter it all, and i don't want to loose quality. i have installed quicktime and other codecs that say they support MOV but it still doesn't work. im on windows 8.1, can anyone help me please.

 :'( thanks in advance.

Cant you just use x264.exe on the superfast/veryfast preset to transcode to h264 mkv? It might take a while depending on your hardware, but it will make it easier.

I have written some scripts to share x264 encoding jobs between multiple computers if you are interested.

the problem with converting it is. for one, i have lots of little files. like i have to do over between 50 and 100 files at are about 1 minute each, and i dont want to loose quality. but i will in some cases, and i cant set a queue, if i could queue all the files id be fine to convert it. but i cant and i have to start the conversion for each file one at a time. so when one finishes. i need to start the next one.
