Hello everyone,

I'm here saying hi as I've just joined the forums.

A question has been running by my head and i'm in need of the answer, so I'm looking to the LTT community to help. I need to know if my i5-4670 can be overclocked, it is not an unlocked CPU but still i've read there have been ways to do it, but I need a straight answer. Secondly, I need to know if 750W is enough to power 2 Sapphire R9-290s and a CPU overclocked to 4.5 GHz ( the i5-4670 IF it can be overclocked ) . I would greatly appreciate if you could help me on these topics guys. :D

Thanks,

James

He's basically right, no practical gains to be had.

As for the PSU, yes that should be sufficient.

Case: Meatbag, humanoid - APU: Human Brain version 1.53 (stock clock) - Storage: 100TB SND (Squishy Neuron Drive) - PSU: a combined 500W of Mitochondrial cells - Optical Drives: 2 Oculi, with corrective lenses.

No, realistically your CPU can't be over-clocked. it's not worth messing with the BCLK and the multiplier.

Yes. 750 Watts should be fine.
