I have a upgraded Dell Optiplex 790 machine with a i7 2600 (LGA1155 socket) 4 x 4gb sticks of ddr3 1600mhz ram, and a Asus GTX 1060. It does all what i need it too but my only issues is the 1060 is massive and basically covers all other PCI ports and most my sata ports. Because of the IO connectors on the 790's I obviously gotta upgrade both the case and motherboard at the same time. Im looking for case/LGA115 motherboard recommendations that will allow me to add USB 3.0 ports/TYPC C  either through the MB, case headers, or PCI card. I need to have the 4 ram slots and a case/MB setup that'll allow me to have the larger graphics card without blocking the sata ports. Any recommendations for a reliable PCI card thatll give me either USB 3.0+ or Type C would be appreciated

So you want to side grade not upgrade?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
