My case is the NZXT H710 and I got 6 Corsair LL120 RGB fans. I can add three fans in the front of the case, 3 fans on the top, and one on the back. My PC is in my basement where its pretty cool temperatures and its in an open environment (under my desk).

How should I set up my fans for the best air flow?

Which parts of the case should be exhaust and/or intake?

Generally, the front of your case should be the intake, with the back and sides serving as exhaust.

I would put 3 up front, 2 up top (towards the back), and 1 on the back to facilitate airflow across the case.

If you want to use all fan spots (7 total)

3 front Intake

3 front Exhaust

1 Rear Exhaust

If you only want to use the 6 LL fans you have, omit one top exhaust fan.

I am going to buy one more fan. What should the top fans be?

Assuming the 7th fan isnt an LL? I'd make the top 3 fans all LL's exhausting air.

One thing to note is if you're going to have more exhaust fans than intake, make sure to lower the speed of the exhaust fans. Ideally, you want about the same amount of air to come in as you have going out.
