Pc won't output to display

Hi my system is very old like it has pentium III  has won't output to display I have swapped the vga cable but still no output . What to do ??

You check for bad caps on the mobo, or maybe a bad video card?

I'm going to assume what you mean is it does not have a removable video card, but rather one built into the motherboard?

Yes I think because there is a big chip in the middle with Intel written on it

Right, so, original suggestion, have you checked for bad caps on the mobo?

Yes there is a cap that is loose but only moves when force is applied

Might simply be age of the system. Computers do fail simply from age.

Well you say it's not working.  How much money do you want to spend to make it work again? Because we will have to start replacing some parts to track down the issue.

ok.

 

Step (1) Reset BIOS, buy new CMOS battery if need be. See if that helps.
