Mobile App for Linus tech tips?

Idk, the title says it all, Are there any future plans for an IOS or Android app, the mobile site is great but it can be sometimes clunky to use...

PSA: No, I didn't waste all that money on computers, (except the main one) my server cost $40, the intel NUC was my old PC (although then it had 8GB of ram, I gave the bigger stick of ram to a person who really needed it), my laptop is used and the second PC is really cheap.

I like tinkering with computers and have a personal hatred towards phones and everything they represent (I daily drive an iPhone 7, or a 6, depends on which one works that day)

Considering the website works great on mobile, the app would basically be a weblink that sends you to the website.

It's been brought up and rejected an ungodly number of times. The answer is no, though a PWA was not ruled out

I just put a shortcut to the website on my homescreen with Chrome.

To me, it's working just fine so I'm not sure what you mean by clunky and a bit slow? It's not much different to using the site on my desktop.

Nope, no issues like that here.

I guess I have small hands so I can press the elements without issues and to me it's not slow at all. Maybe it's your Network connection / distance to the server?

Once you add it to your homescreen via Chrome, I once forgot I was using a PWA type app. It felt like Native for most of the time! 

 

I feel like PWA are going to be future so as a developer I focus on PWA rather than official support since PWA can work nicely with wide range of devices.
