Hello,

I have a annoying problem: Windows can not update.

I noticed the problem a few months ago, and couldn't fix it within this months. I noticed it, because the April 2018 Update is no longer supported since a while, and Windows gives me a notification like every hour, telling me to reboot my computer to update windows.

I already tried to reboot, manually starting the update, and even trying to install windows by using the Media Creation Tool. Here is the error, when I try to update (actually reinstalling windows, but keeping everything):

0xC1900101 - 0x20017

The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation

Wait a few days, newest version of Windows 10 will be released this month.

Then you backup everything and do a proper format, don't keep anything. All of your issues. Gone.
