Using tech during the week

My parents don't let me use my computer during the week for anything other than school work. They say they want me to do better at school. So I did last year. Got A's and B's only 1 C and no D's. But they still won't let me use it during the week. Anyone know how to persuade them into letting me use it during the week?

Also anyone else not able to play during the week?

Get straight A's.

Or if you can prove to them that you're ahead of the class. That'd probably do it.

My parents (well, mainly my Mum) are the same dude. I'm only allowed to use my PC on Friday through Sunday during the school semester, Mum's super strict about it. But get this, I'm allowed to use my laptop, tablet and phone whenever I please. #parentlogic I suppose it is my final year of high school and my parents want me to get a good mark at our end of year exams, but I do my homework regularly and I'm trying my best to get into study habits.

My Dad doesn't really care though. He believes that my life is my choice. As long as I'm not doing drugs or committing crimes and I have a decent job, he's fine with me doing whatever.

I've tried numerous times to convince my Mum to let me use the computer that I've spent in excess of $3000AUD on, but she still won't let up. I'm 17, have a part-time job and I'm paying for a car completely myself. Nup, I'm not trustworthy enough to have control over my educational habits and what I choose to do during the school week. I still bludge anyways.

Yep, and after 5 or so years, still haven't got around it.  When im older ill just say I can make my own choices as im an adult, but until then, i guess just deal with it.  Don't get to worked up and watch a lot of yt while your doing *schoolwork*.

Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

lol back in high school I just go to school, do my homework at school then do what I want when I get back home, got nice grades. went into collage to study bsit, school>drink>pc>sleep> goes on goes fort. and whenI decided to take a diploma on electronics (a 2 year course). same stuff happened just that with added crap.

money making>school>drink>side line jobs>wife + bed>sleep.

My parents were not very strict whe nI was in still in school (elem>high>coll) so long as I get 90's on my grade from elem to high = all good. in collage so long as I don't get grades below 1.5 I'm good I can do what I want.

but I still say listen to your parents. no matter where you are and if you believe your friends won't leave you someday they will, and only your family will be the people that you can turn back to.

I experienced it my self. ran away went with friends after a while they are gone had no choice but to go back home and my family welcomed me with open arms + butt load of scolding.

Live your life like a dream.

My parents try to limit my time during the week to 2 hours a day. Grades was never an issue, I always get straight A's (not trying to brag or anything). They just want to see me do things other than be on my computer all day. I started working out, so now when my mom asks if I've been on for too long I just tell her I worked out earlier and she says okay and doesn't bug me until "bed time". As long as I do something, "not lazy" I'm fine :P

They just want to spend more time with you before you grow up in to an adult.
