My budget is $1050 firm TAX included! I'm calling tax  .08% to be on the safe side which puts this build at $1038.69. I'm from the US.

This is my first AMD gaming rig.

I have an Acer Predetor z35P so I'd like to run games at 3440x1440 and 120fps.

I have the Corsair H100i from another build to put in this one so I have to buy a fan for my other cpu thus 2 listed.

I need no peripherals.
Doing a micro build to save a couple buck and put as much power into this as I can. AND I've never made a micro.

Not an upgrade. This is brand new for gaming. Anything from minecraft to tomb raider, assassins creed, borderlands 3 and so on.

Am I good on on parts blending well together? (I don't care about looks, just function)

I want 4 dimms to upgrade ram down the line but not a must.

Does this mobo need to be updated to use the CPU? (I'm new to AMD)

If so can I do it without another  processor? I do not have one.

Should I just switch to a different mobo? I will be hard lined to internet and do not need wifi.

I do intend to over clock some. Nothing crazy.

We don't have the permission to view your parts list through the link, however this build looks solid. Only thing is I would switch to 3200 RAM and save yourself a couple of dollars since your board is only rated up to 3200 and not 3600. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qGqbt6/gskill-memory-f43200c16d16gvgb

Thank you!

Firstly, at 1440p, you will not get anywhere near 120 fps at any settings other than low for triple-a's of the past few years.

To overclock the CPU, the motherboard will more or less give you $h!t. very likely no stable overclock (or at best, a very meager one) will arise. For an overclock, I recommended a ATX motherboard and an  ATX case (which is also probably over $100) but there might be a price problem with that, so here is what I recommend:

AMD 2600x, try to go for a 2060S, forget overclocking, that probably won't happen. It will get you better frames, but not by too much. Without increasing your build budget to at least $2000, you won't get near 120fps 1440p at okay game settings on the triple-a's.

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

Hey Touzen88,

You will need to update your BIOS if your motherboard doesnt have a Ryzen 3 Series Ready Sticker or advertises that its 3 Series Ready.  As for 1440p I would recommend at minimum a RTX 2070. 2060's are great for medium high settings 1440p but nothing triple A. Also as another poster mentioned you will see no improvement from 3600 RAM so I'd also recommend using 3200 ram.

Hope that helps :)
