Low memory error pops up often

Hello,

 

So I keep having a low memory error that pops up whenever I run a pretty decent sized game. (Civ 5, Arma 3, Titanfall Beta) and it closes the game. 

 

I have 8GB of RAM and I thought that this would be enough for me to do my basic gaming and computing needs. 

 

Whenever I check how much my computer is using at the time, it always says around 3.3GB~3.5GB of RAM being used at a time. 

 

I normally run Chrome and Teamspeak in the background when I'm playing the game and i close anything that I don't use at the time like Skype and such. 

 

Anyone know what the problem could be? My computer recognizes my 8GB of RAM.

I have the same issues. Running Chrome, two PDF's, and Winamp and I'm at 4.5GB usage lol. 

 

 

you can try increasing page file size.

I have tried closing chrome before, but it would still happen. I have a dual monitor set up so i always like having web browsing while playing a game. But would Chrome really take up that much RAM space in order to make games crash and such...?

I get that also sometime, might be a memory leak in a program but always unable to open task manager after it gives me that error and my whole system freezes. (Had it once in Titanfall also). Maybe try starting task manager to see which programs are eating up all the memory when you are playing.

As you can see, Chrome hogs up most of my ram.

Increasing pagefile should reduce it.
