I just got a new card about a week ago, I installed then, and it worked fine for about 3 hours. Cut to that 3 hours after the install, and I'm playing Rocket League. I was in the graphics settings trying to see what my GTX 1050 Ti was capable of. I selected the "Apply" option for my resolution, and my screen went black, and the GPU fans started spinning at full speed. I force shutdown my computer, and the 1050 Ti has never worked again.

What happened? Did the GPU die after only 3 hours? Did I just get an unlucky card?
Specs:

Lenovo H530 Prebuilt
12GB DDR3 1333 MHz
Intel Core i5 4590

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (Single Fan)

I have already RMA'd it (I forgot to mention that). I'm just curious as to why it worked for a little, bit and just, died.

I also forgot to mention the fact that the fan on the card still spins on startup, but plugging anything into it, my monitor will detect it as if the computer is asleep, and it will say "Entering powersaving mode"

it could be a number of thing, bad memory, bad cuda cores, bad PSU. Theres a number of things

I can't really test anything, because this is my only system. I didn't think about the bad RAM, that could be part of it. I also had no idea CUDA cores could fail, and my PSU is brand new! (Thermaltake 500w 80+ White)
