Which amd graphics card for mining?

What is the BESt amd card less than or equal to $499 for lite coin mining and possibly bit coin mining? I am going to use it in the background, and will not plug anything into it. Will putting in in a 8x slot make mining less easier? Thanks

No you can ven mine a PCIE 3.0 1x.

BUT OP: Basically buy the best AMD GPU you can find/afford. Just make sure your PSU can handle the additional wattage. And don't even bother with Bitcoin with gpus. I'd even say don't worry about litecoin. Find a coin like doge or something and mine that.

They won't work for BTC though, something to keep in mind.

I'd try and find 2 used 7950's. If you look you can find them at decent prices.

Also factor in your areas energy rates. Might not be entirely worth mining.

Read, I awnserd to the question: Will puttuing it in an 8x slot mining less easy. Me: No. You can even mine with a PCIE 3.0 1x.
