I recently built a new PC that keeps giving me Q code 7 when I boot it and there is no display. Its my first ever build and I am sure I have wired everything correctly. The specs on my PC are:

-CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700x

-RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz

-PSU: GIGABYTE GP-G750H 750W 80 PLUS Gold Certified

-MOBO: ASUS ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO Socket AM4 AMD X470 Chipset

-GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER GAMING X 6GB

SSD: WD Blue™ 3D NAND SATAIII SSD

Everytime I boot the PC, all fans are spinning and all other components seem to be working fine aside from the fact that I keep getting Q code 7

I have tried other solutions such as using 1 ram stick, swapping it into each DIMM slot, tried both ram sticks in diffrent combinations as well. I have also tried to clear CMOS. Lastly I read that it could be an issue with the placement of the CPU but I made sure it was inserted correctly and snug.

Any solutions?

Some other users with a similar problem on the internet have either reseated their GPU or got a new PSU (seems a bit much).

Try reseating the GPU first. Then I'd try a BIOS update if it hasn't been updated already (You can check the barcode on the board or box to give you an indication as to what the factory BIOS is). That should be the first thing you do when trying to install a Zen 2 CPU into a board that was made when Zen+ was the hot new thing.

I have already tried reseating the GPU but im on my way to get a flash drive to update the bios and see if that does the trick. Thanks!

Update:

I tried booting the computer with the USB inserted into the BIOS port and I still have no display and Q code 07. I downloaded the latest compatitble bios and used the renaming tool. The USB is formatted to FAT32

Booting? You're not supposed to be booting anything. With your PC off but plugged in (like you've just flipped the switch at the socket but not powered on yet) just insert your USB into the flashback port, press and hold the button until it starts flashing, let go of the button and let it flash. When it's done the LED will stop blinking. Remove USB and boot.
