the only thing connected to pci is the network adapter which is working.

While connected to the internet, right click on PCI Serial Port and select 'Update Driver' > 'Search Automatically' or 'Search for updated driver on Windows Update'.

 

If the correct drivers are installed, it will be identified afterward.

sorry. apariently reading is hard.

I live in misery USA. my timezone is central daylight time which is either UTC -5 or -4 because the government hates everyone.

There's no guarantee that the second one is the parallel port, but I'd wager they're on the same controller. I was around when these were all new systems, and had this problem a lot especially migrating from XP to Win7 on these systems back in the day, so I imagine Win10 is doing a similar or the same detection.

It has a parellel and a serial port because it old.
