I want to upgrade to PC this year from my PS4 but I'm not very good with computers at all. However I am worried about the compatibility of the PC's parts and I don't have much money to spend (My budget is around $550-600). I would like to be able to run most of the popular first person shooters efficiently with a low budget PC(ideally something under $500 dollars). In short I was wondering if the build I made on PCPartPicker would be able to do these things and last for a long time as well and I  was wondering if anyone had any recommendations?

That should work fine to start. You can always upgrade your parts later. You could even get a cheaper CPU and upgrade that at a later time too.

Thanks! On PCPartPicker it says that I my have problems with the CPU and motherboard due to potentially un-updated BIOS. Are most motherboards at this time updated to the latest update or will I have to find a way update the BIOS myself.

All MSI MAX motherboards have an up to date BIOS for third gen Ryzen. However, I added a much better CPU and motherboard:

Also threw in a 1650 super since it performs equally to the 580, and a less expensive PSU and ram.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

if you can stretch your budget that 2tb hdd wil come handy.

ryzen 5 1600 af is like ryzen 5 2600 but cheaper

1660 super is much better than rx 580

but without the hdd it is on your budget.
