My PC will post but it wont boot. I can't access the boot menu either. I put this under storage devices because it seems like a hard drive issue but i dont know. It worked fine until i put in a second hard drive and then turned off my computer to remove it. After I turned the computer off it would no longer work.  I have a 750w PSU so that shouldnt be the problem. I've tried changing SATA and SATA power cables and I've tried booting with different HDDs and that won't work. It's a pretty old machine with an Intel Core 2 Duo so maybe the CPU just died on me? Any help would be great. Thanks

No I can't which kinda makes me think i have a MOBO issue but it's displaying the Dell post logo.

Unplug anything connected to the mobo that isn't required to post. this means all HDDs, and CD-Roms, remove sound cards and NICs (if not built in to the mobo)

Remove all but 1 stick of RAM.

Power on, and see if you can get into the BIOS.

While the system is powered on, see if your keyboard is responsive, press the num-lock or caps-lock key, and see if you get lights changing on your keyboard. If not, then it might be the mobo

Okay, I did that and was able to access bios with keyboard functionality. Based on that are you thinking that the problem is HDD?

dk what was wrong

You say it's an older system, sometimes they just need a good swift kick to get going. Glad it's working :)
