12 Pin Header but I only has 1x8 Pin Connector

My Mobo for a 12 Pin CPU connector, but my PSU only has 1x 8 Pin CPU Connector. Is the other 4 pins really needed? Will it help if I had the extra 4 pins?

The 8 pin EPS connector does 384W of power, the extra 4 pin EPS would supply another 150W.

99% of all people would not need the extra 4 pin, as this connector is to supply power to the CPU (which wouldn't use that much in most scenarios).
