does anyone know of any sites that would be able to decode the SN, PN or other numbers on a GPU to find out the exact date in which the GPU was made? I know its a sort of dumb question to ask but everything thing I have tried has lead me to "how to find the SN on a GPU" not how to decode it. I am asking because I have an ATI radeon HD 6700 series that I got from a prebuilt computer in 2012/13 and someone I talked to said that ATI was absorbed by AMD in 2010 so the GPU I have is older than what I think it is but I am not sure.

sorry if this is in the wrong section too. I just didn't feel like it was for the websites thread.

GPU-Z shows a release date, which is the date this model of GPU was introduced. Not the manufacturing date of your particular model, but might help as a starting point.

I was under the impression that the Radeon HD6700 was definitely branded AMD and I don't recall seeing one with the ATI logo on it.  Have you go a photo?

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

this I not my photo but it is the GPU I have that I am trying to figure out the manufacturing date for. I am in no rush as I have a new GPU already and I was told by someone that ATI was absorbed by AMD in 2010 which is before I bought the computer I used to have with this as the GPU for it.
