How to connect 6 fans for sync?

Dani3l

Hello!

I need some help and explanation how to connect 4 case fans and 2 fans on aio radiator all 120mm fans so i can sync lighting with the rest of my system. My motherboard is gigabyte aorus master x570.

I need help with explaining how and where to connect cables to sync all the fans with my motherboard since the fans i want to buy (link below) come with RF controller and RF reciever.

Can i connect fans to the reciever and then from reciever to motherboard or do i have to connect fans directly to motherboard header with splitter cables? Also same question about pwm... since fans are argb pwm fans.

All the help i can get is appriciated!

First of all, ARGB (3pin, 5V) and RGB (4pin, 12V) are two different things. DO NOT MIX them. Your mobo supports both, but check on manual if they can work at the same time.

As the two RGB types are different, you can't control any 4pin RGB fans with that fan packs remote. It only works with ARGB. That said, if you get another splitter, you can control more than those 3 fans with it. The included splitter is only for 3 fans.

So if you want all of your fans to be synced, best way is to use motherboard for it. It has 4 total RGB headers, 2xARGB and 2xRGB.

Fan controls (fan speed) is done with another header.

Okay so i’m going to have to use splitter for them to be able to sync. Now how many fans can i connect to 1 argb header with splitters?

Text from x570 aorus master manual:

D_LED1/D_LED2 (Addressable LED Strip Headers)

The headers can be used to connect a standard 5050 addressable LED strip, with maximum power rating

of 5A (5V) and maximum number of 1000 LEDs.

I’m looking at fan specs from the official site and i’m not sure if i’m supposed to look at RGB input current (0,57A)  or just input current ( 0,32A) ?

Input Current is what the fan (making the fan spin, to move air) is 0.32A.

The RGB Input Current is what is needed to power the RGB LEDs on the fans, which is 0.57A.

Typically, from what I know, those 3-pin ARGB +5v headers can supply up to 3A of current through a single header.

If each fan is 0.57A, you can technically hook up to 5 of those ARGB fans to a single ARGB header.

Of course, since you got 2x ARGB headers, you can split it up to 3 + 3.
