Is tuning my RAM timings from CL16 to CL14 worth doing?

I have Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200MHz CL16 DDR4 ( CMW16GX4M2C3200C16). I have been very bored during this lockdown so I thought I can tune my pc a little and get the most for my money. Currenty using Ryzen 5 2600 on a B450 Tomahawk MAX.

I used thaiphoon burner to check the ram die, and it says its samsung B die, but im pretty sure its not a well binned one. which is why i dont want to push more than the 3200mhz rating, unless someone here thinks its very possible to go higher. but i thought lowering the latency might be worth it for my Ryzen 5 2600.

Will doing this be worth it? is it safe? do you think it will be stable?

also, is this a cl14 tune? Because I see 14 at the top and just assumed, sorry lol

I plan to game and stream, and some editing on premiere pro occasionally

Tier lists for building a PC.

 

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

(Also case airflow matter or if you are using Downcraft air cooler)

( You can overclock Tier C just fine, but it can get very loud, that is why it is not recommended for overclocking, same with tier D)

CL16 @ 3200 b-die is a crap bin.  Will definitely require a voltage increase, higher IO/SA and some tweaked secondary timings to even try 14-14-14-34.

1T command rate may be impossible at those timings also.

 

Try changing to 1T first.  This gives a boost in performance and often doesn't even need voltage changed.

Have you tried those settings yet?  Just give 'em a go and then test for stability.

If was able to run CL 14, you would want better than 14-17-18-17 timings. 

I don't recon this would be any type of ideal performance increase even if it where to be stable.

 

The best way to achieve performance, is through firstly seeking the highest speed you can achieve over XMP. You keep the same timings as XMP or sometimes slightly looser to get the raw Mhz from the Ram. Let's say you overclock from 3200mhz to 3400mhz, at the same timings, you'll have a nice performance increase. This is the approach you should take in my opinion.
