Need Help Picking New Monitor

wjm22400

I need a new monitor that wont break the bank. I have had the same one for about as long as I had my old computer (7 years). I have a 2070 Super and a I7-9700k with 16 gigs of ram.

I don't care about resolution really so 1080p works fine, but I do want a high refresh rate with 1ms response time. That is what I am looking for.

Now I was hoping not to spend over 400$ - 600$ which would be for 1 Ultra wide monitor or 2 regular monitors (Curved doesn't really matter to me).

What would any of you recommend? Thank you in advance.

Why Asus rather than the Alienware? I think the Ausus would go against my color scheme quite a bit.. I have white and yellow and black and silver... That bright red would throw it off. 😆

It's just a personal preference😅, Alienware is a great choice too. ASUS have been making monitors since ages so that bends me a little more towards it. I love Alienware products too and it definitely looks way better than the ASUS one.😁🤩

There probably won't be any ultrawide at this price range with 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms resopnse time. I would rather go for a 240Hz than a 144Hz ultrawide with low response time.

Hey I just saw this,New Alienware Monitor, apart from the look I don't think there's a difference.

Buy: https://www.dell.com/en-us/member/shop/alienware-25-gaming-monitor-aw2521hf/apd/210-avlt/monitors-monitor-accessories

Update: Just researched this, the 2521 (new one) has an IPS panel while the 2518 (old one) has a TN Panel
