I'm trying to reach 240 fps or close to it playing Fortnite with Epic settings across the board. Please let me know if this is even possible, if I need to lower some of the visual settings, or do I need to upgrade my hardware? I can get the FPS up in the 200 range by lowering some settings, but again I want to try and play as close to the highest settings as possible, if possible. Thanks in advance.

Current Setup

MB = B450 Aorus M

CPU = Ryzen 5 2600

RAM = 4x8GB HyperX Predator DDR4 3200MHz CL16

GPU = MSI GeForce RTX 2070 8GB

HD = Samsung EVO 970 M.2 NVME 1 TB

Monitor = BenQ ZOWIE XL2546 240Hz Gaming Monitor (connected via DP)

.....Resolution = 1080p

Side note I also have 2 additional monitors hooked up as left and right of the BenQ. They are AOC 144Hz gaming monitors, not being used for the game but may be a factor in all of this.

rtx 2080 ti can be close with epic settings. Without any shadows other epic, rtx 2080 ti will do. Your cpu might be enough, but simple gpu upgrade will do it. Im not entirely sure thought since 240fps is pretty hard to get on high setting even on 1080p

I'm gonna say not possible with your current cpu, you'll also have some issues depending on the server your connected to so don't get too worried when you run into a wall at around 200fps

Any suggestions on a CPU upgrade? I believe my board is capable of the newest Ryzen 7 & 9 processors.

Look at some fortnite CPU benchmarks and you'll get a good idea at where you're at and what you need.
