So I'm wanting to build a new PC. I'm eyeing a $1500 budget based on performance, I dont care for the light show. I'm eyeing the 3700x and 2070 Super. I'm expecting to be GPU bottlenecked which is better than CPU bottleneck.

 

I'm wanting to play escape from tarkov which is ran on the poorly optimized unity engine and just eats up CPU power which is why I want the 3700x. Thoughts?

No need, the MSI Max boards support 3rd gen Ryzen out of the box. It's a great build by @boggy77 !

I second @ShinRamen. That is a great build! I can't think of anything I would do differently.

Only thing I would do is remove the case and case fan, since those are subjective and have the OP pick.  Lots of options under $100. 

 

Kudos to Boggy for giving an example tho.

for gaming, 0 advantage. unless you run a extremely heavily modded minecraft, cities skylines or whatever games are out there with hundreds of mods, most games don't go past 10 gb usage (including windows and background programs)
