Gaming laptop recommendations

Hi All

I am searching for a new gaming laptop however there are a few requirements I have which is frustrating me when trying to find the right one.

Which brings me to LTT Forums for help.

I'm looking for a laptop with the following minimum requirements

- 7 hour battery or more - this is for when I'm using it to view websites and writing documents for university classes. Gaming time I'm not fussed since I'd have it plugged in.

- i5 or i7 8th gen chipset or higher - or AMD equivalent

- has a m.2 slot for storage as well as space for a standard 2.5 had

- ideally ddr4 ram - will be happy with 2 slots but will settle for a 1 slot

- Dedicated graphics card as GTX 1050 4gb minimum

Since I'm a student, I am limited to a budget of around £750 but I can push it if needed.

Any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Look at the Lenovo Legion Y540 or Asus FX505

I've researched those 2 before, while the fx505 within my budget both only last around 5 hours on a single charge and the y540 is too much for my wallet.

Any other recommendations?

You won't find anything that fits your requirements and is cheap - either up the budget to 1000 pounds or lower the expectations.
