iPhone XS Max power button intermittently unresponsive

I’ve been using my iPhone XS Max 256GB for the past 2+ months (got a great deal on contract) and there hasn’t been any issues till today. Since this morning, there have been a couple of times (maybe 5 or 6) that after I lock my phone and set it down, the power button becomes totally unresponsive seemingly randomly. Then it’ll suddenly respond again after I press it like 20 times. My phone’s raise to wake is turned off because I really just don’t like it. I tried restarting my phone after the first time, didn’t really help. It’s seemingly random but It hasn’t happened for the past few hours. Is this a sign of a failing power button which I should go get fixed, or does it just happen on iPhones. (haven’t used an iPhone for a couple of years before this)

Go get it fixed, that happened to my wife’s 4S and she didn’t tell me until AppleCare was done. We’ve had a couple of different generations since then, and we haven’t had any problems. She is still using her 3 year old 7 with no problems, I had problems with the mic on both my original 7 and it’s free replacement.

I had that happen with my max when I had it just restore it from a computer and start over.
