PC keeps freezing - especially when under load

CSGOaddict

Hey!

So PC keeps freezing, especially when under load. Today for instance, was working on a CS:GO map, launched csgo to test it with a twitch stream on chrome in the background - froze completely. (I remember hearing beeps THROUGH MY HEADPHONES at this time, 4 quick ones to be exact). Had to turn off through power button. Wouldn't boot up, always got stuck on the mother board screen, just showing ASRock with the dots spinning in a circle below it. Until it did. Randomly. Booted up again, started working. My fan curve for my GPU in the AMD Radeon Software had turned back to default, but other than that, nothing strange.

Until I launched League of Legends, the game barely launched, and when it did, PC started to freeze again, so i tried closing League, and eventually it did, and the PC recovered itself.

I feel that all this has something to do with the SSD. I remember trying to download Apex Legends, and I had to download it in intervals of 5 minutes, because it kept freezing. Had to keep pausing and un-pausing the download.

This has happened countless times now (though the beeps were a new occurrence). I thought it would have something to do with windows updates maybe? But I don't think its the case anymore.

Please help!

The beeps are important.

What beep code do you get exactly??

Beep Code Descriptions
1 short Memory refresh timer error.
2 short Parity error.
3 short Main memory read / write test error.
4 short System timer failure.
5 short Process error.
6 short Keyboard controller BAT test error.
7 short General exception error.
8 short Display memory error.
9 short ROM BIOS checksum error.
10 short CMOS shutdown Read/Write error.
11 short Cache Memory bad.

I remember hearing 4. I guess it would be System timer failure then.

But do mobo beeps come through headphones through a headphone jack?

I cannot say that  I have ever experienced this so cannot give you an answer.

Did the board come with a speaker?

I suggest to grab one if not.

Make sure it isn't overheating.

System timer failuer (If that is indeed the beep code) is either memory in the first rank has errors or the board is shot.

I posted this a few hours ago:

In which I said it might be a drive issue.

After running the Patriot SSD Toolbox, I got this:

And then I found this post, which is exactly what is happening to me: (even the freezing during low capacity part)

https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/ultra-dma-crc-error-count-cable-issue.3245703/

Here's my question:

What is this? What does this mean? How do I fix it?

UDMA-errors are typically caused by a bad SATA-cable or the SATA-cable being loose. Start by checking the cable that is it not loose and perhaps try replacing it with another one.

The crc error count is normlaly a bad cable or port, try swapping those.

Will the warning go away once the cable is fixed? How do I know if the problem is "fixed"?

The only way you'll know it's fixed is if there are no longer those freezes.
