Hi

Bare with me folks, long time youtube watcher. Gotten to the point I really want to and feel capable of trying to build my first set up after watching them. Long time console gamer and hoping to build a mid-high end pc set up to move away from the consoles and perhaps even do a bit of VR gaming aswell **cough** (beat saber) **cough**. Literally need everything...so I've priced a set up on amazon and just wanted some more knowledgable recommendations if it fits the bill? If priced up the following:

Ryzen 5 3600 CPU
Asus Prime B450-PLUS ATX motherboard
Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 16Gb DDR4
Critical 1TB NVME M.2 Storage
EVGA RTX 2060 super sc ultra GPU
Corsair VS650 power supply
Corsair spec-delta carbide rgb case
Corsair k55 keyboard and mouse
Asus vg248qe FHD monitor

All that comes in at £1,185.02 at the minute. Worried about any potential bottlenecking that could occur.

Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks :)

Get a better PSU like

https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Power-Supply-Units/cxm-series-2015-config/p/CP-9020103-NA

for example, shouldn't be much more expensive but its definitely a lot better than the VS series.

I would also suggest a different case that has an actual air flow unlike the Spec-DELTA. Like the Fractal Meshify C for example? But if you really want RGB I am not stopping you, just be aware that the case you picked will have a negative impact on your system temperatures.

Rest seems fine, make sure to get at least 3200MHz RAM and if the price jump is not too large from 3200MHz to 3600MHz, get that instead (if you can afford it). But really only if the price difference is small enough.

Thanks for the reply!

I'm not too bothered about RGB tbh would rather a machine that worked right to its potential. Looked at the fractal case you recommended and it looks nice! Also looked at the jump in price from 3200mhz to the 3600mhz and it's only an extra £8 so not breaking the bank. Would you say it's worth going with the 3600mhz at that price?

Definitely, Ryzen 3000's zen2 architecture loves fast RAM, and 3600mhz cl16 is the sweet spot :)

Ahhh nice I'll stick with the 3600mhz corsair vengeance then! Had another look at the asus prime B450-PLUS motherboard and it said it only goes for memory up to 3466mhz, should I be looking for a more capable motherboard?
