Is Lenovo Legion Y530 Gaming Laptop compatible with Occulus Link?

IndioBravo

Hi everyone,

I am currently deciding whether to purchase the Occulus Quest to play VR with my laptop, but I want to know if it is compatible with my laptop.

My Specs:

Thanks for the help!

Anything with USB3 will be compatible, but in terms of performance a 1050Ti is really at the bottom of what you want for a good VR experience.

Ok thanks! But paired with the i7 8th gen, will I at least have 60 FPS on minimum settings? On a game like Pavlov for example.

Pavlov says minimum requirement is a 970, which is 50% more powerful than a 1050Ti. So wouldn't expect much.

VR is mostly GPU bound, CPU is less important.

There is a somewhat cut down standalone version that runs on the Quest itself though (and is free).
