Hello, so i have a problem.

When i play a game my pc crashes - display turns into a random, solid color, keyboard and mouse disconnects and the only way to get out of it is to force restart the pc.

my specs are:

GPU: AMD Radeon RX580

CPU: INTEL I5-3470

Motherboard: ASROCK H97

RAM: 2x CRUCIAL 8Gb

PSU: CORSAIR VS650

HDD 1tb, before i had and SSD-HDD combo, but i read that my ssd can be done, so i disconnected it. Still the same issue.

This pc isn’t something special, but for me it’s enough for casual gaming.

I’ve already tried another motherboard, CPU, RAM. None of these helped.

Tried installing new drivers, OS. Nothing.

Could it be GPU or maybe PSU?

I’m new in these computer building thing, so I don’t really have a clue what’s wrong...

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

edit: my friend tried using my GPU in his PC - everything worked fine.

It's definetely not the PSU. Have you upgraded your gpu in the past? It may be a driver issue, so use DDU (display driver uninstaller) and reinstall your driver. Also, in what pci slot is the gpu on your motherboard? Use the top one

I had the same problem before with different causes. One was bad overclock where the driver crashed and froze everything including the mouse and the keyboard with solid colors usually the most prominent color on the screen. I just wait a few minutes until the driver is restarted. Another was driver issue where ddu did help. Idk if the issue on your side is hardware based but yea. Its either bad oc, faulty driver or faulty hardware(gpu)

Im with the mentaility of "IF IM NOT SURE IF ITS ENOUGH COOLING, GO OVERKILL"
