Hi, I have a flip phone that I want to use with US mobile, which it is currently on AT&T. I want to unlock it to work with US Mobile and their "Super LTE" network, which is just running on Verizon. I plan to use the same plan and sim card to put in a different phone in the future, so I would want verizon over the t-mobile "GSM" network that they also offer. On the alcatel go flip 2 I'm trying to get it to work with though, can I just get text and call with the Verizon plan even though the go flip 2 only supports gsm? I don't need data for that phone.

Thx.

If the phone only supports GSM, it will not work on CDMA networks such as Verizon.

I hate to be that guy, since clearly you're happy with a flip phone if you're using one and not making posts about new phones, but... do you have a particular reason for not picking up even a cheap smartphone?

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Google hasn't been that great on their phones as of late.

If you just need a cheap CDMA phone, I reccomend an iPhone 5s or 6s (skip the 5 and 6). Or, if you're really anti-apple, the S8 can be had for roughly the same price. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Galaxy-S8-SM-G950U-64GB-Midnight-Black-Verizon/264680253021?epid=235230101&hash=item3da02c265d:g:vUwAAOSw0nlefQBe

I don't like to buy used hardware, so I would probably wait for black friday and get it then. The "a" models are usually 100 bucks off at black friday at Bestbuy.
