So i've got a Ryzen 5 2600x CPU with a EVGA RTX 2070 XC GAMING GPU, 16GB corsair vengeance 3000Mhz RAM on a MSI B450 A-Pro motherboard.

I dont really get high FPS in games and people tell me that my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU's performance by alot, and that a upgrade to the Ryzen 7 3700x would be a major 25-50% FPS boost.

Anyone that has a good understanding about this problem?

Thank you in advance!

There shouldn't be that much of a bottleneck. What FPS do you get?

Fortnite sometimes give's me around 100fps and on someplaces 160. Rarely hits 240 fps. When getting into fights it tends to drop.

Warzone (New COD BR) gives me around 100-130 (mostly around 100)

Apex Legends around 160

This is with all my options on the lowest.

What resolution and refresh rate is your display?

That's not normal. I'm getting 50-60 FPS at 1440p high-ultra on those games with an i5 4460 and GTX 1660. How updated are your graphics drivers?

Thank you, will check into that!

The MSI Afterburner is the recommended way - You can see everything live while playing,

As long as the GPU usage is above 90% - no bottleneck (unless the game is not optimized well or something else is wrong).

always latest through GeForce experience

Put Task Manager and MSI Afterburner on your second monitor while you game, and see if there's anything looking abnormal. If the CPU or GPU usage is below around 85% or if there are a lot of other tasks using your CPU or GPU, that could be to blame

Try without overclock first to avoid any potential problems that may rise from it.

To avoid bottlenecking  the GPU usage should be above 90% and CPU usage below 85%,

If something else than the game is using large amounts of system resources - it can harm performance while gaming.

So yesterday i posted about me having bad fps with my PC.

"So i've got a Ryzen 5 2600x CPU with a EVGA RTX 2070 XC GAMING GPU, 16GB corsair vengeance 3000Mhz RAM on a MSI B450 A-Pro motherboard.

I dont really get high FPS in games and people tell me that my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU's performance by alot, and that a upgrade to the Ryzen 7 3700x would be a major 25-50% FPS boost."

Now i used MSI Afterburner to check in on my GPU and CPU usage to see if i'm getting bottlenecked. To my greatest surprise my GPU works at a avarage % of 65% and my cpu at around 60-70%.

You can see on the bottom graph on MSI afterburner.

I tested on the new COD Warzone.

Anyone know's what's happening here?

So i guess somethings going wrong xD

It could be that the game isn't optimized, please try with a benchmark such as Unigine Superposition.

Also try without the overclock.
