CPU: I7-8700K to R5-3600

GPU: RX 5700 XT (being reused)

MOBO: Gigabyte Z70P D3 to MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge WiFi

RAM: 16gb (2x8gb) Corsair Vengeance LPX 2333MHZ to 16gb (2x8gb) Corsair Vengeance LPX 3600MHZ

PSU: EVGA SuperNova G5 750W (being reused)

Cooler: Hyper 212 to Stock

Storage: 128GB NVME SSD (boot), 2x1TB Old HDDs (possibly dying????) (overflow and general storage) to WD Blue 1TB M.2 Sata SSD, 2TB Seagate BarraCuda HDD

Case: Corsair Carbide 270r to Corsair Carbide 275r

Your storage upgrade is fair, and the ram upgrade is alright. But you won't gain a whole bunch from it on an 8700k.

Slottr’s right, the i7 8700k is slightly better than the Ryzen 5 3600

It's at best a sidestep, in some cases a slight downgrade. Definitely NOT an upgrade

They are both very similar (in performance) CPUs. And you already have the i7.
