What Do I upgrade first

Hi 

I was wondering what to upgrade first because I had just upgraded to a Ryzen 5 1600 AF from my Pentium G4560

GPU: Asus GTX 650 Ti Boost 2GB  

RAM: Crucial DDR4 2400Mhz No Heatsink or RGB :( dual channel 2x4GB sticks 

 

rest of my system:

Ryzen 5 1600 AF 3.2Ghz 

Unknown Supplier it's powder coated PSU 750w silver 

Gigabyte B450M-H (Ryzen 3000 out of the box)

128GB WD green SSD

1TB WD blue HDD

and some case

 

any help would be appreciated :)

If it is unbranded or unknown manufacturer it could damage the rest of your components

Also firstly I'd upgrade the gpu because most gpus with that cpu would not even get close to 750w and 8gb of ram although not ideal is usable

It's likely low quality. A PSU failure can destroy everything else in the system.

RAM next because there's no point in buying a GPU this close to the release of the new ones.

There is far more to a PSU than simply wattage.

yeah the psu has got Yucky mustard cables

so what wattage should my psu be

I've got a evga 500w psu and it can support my ryzen 5 3600 and rx 580

550w would be fine, 650w if you want a little headroom.

Well with ram mostly it's the larger the amount and faster the speed the better

I recently built a computer and with 4gb of ram I can run sekiro/dying light on max settings at 60 fps

Silver certification means nothing in regards to quality or how long it'll last. It's simply how efficient the PSU is. I'd still replace it.

I would aim above or on par with recommended settings because it is a multilayer fps and requires precision

You want to get a good quality PSU, your's is likely not very good at all, brand and efficiency does not equal quality.

Refer to this list:

I recommend Tier B or higher, 550W is plenty.

 

For Ryzen get a dual channel kit of 2x8GB CL16 3200MHz or faster. 

 

GPU budget and options can be re-assessed once those first two items have been upgraded.

Oh Ok yeah I know my GPU isn't gonna happen for a long time with COVID 19 lurking but the PSU and RAM will be upgraded quickly
