What gaming laptop?

A friend wants to buy a laptop his budget is around 1200$

Any good recommendations

this is a solid deal, really good value. Other laptops around this price have 1660ti’s which are good, but the 2060 is clearly better.

Good but the AMD CPU isn't that great 

 

Try to find similar but with a 9750h

 

I'd recommend Dell G7 7790

 

or the 15.6" equivalent

An i5 9300h is worse than a Ryzen 7 3750h. It has 8gb ram, and to when you upgrade to a 2060 it’s already $50 more then the TUF laptop I suggested.

I didn't say you could I was just saying the model is more than just the i5 varient you saw. You can get pretty close depending on the retailer, but the Ryzen 7, RTX 2060 Asus laptop you linked is the better deal over all of the Dell G7's I could find. And the Ryzen 7 is a perfectly good processor for gaming.
