is the motherboard i want. I want to use 3600mhz ram but under "memory speed" 3600mhz is not included, so I assume this would not be compatible? Would it be best to just buy 3200mhz in this case, because 3200mhz is a supported speed for this mobo?

If you use a Zen 2 CPU, then you've nothing to worry about. Memory support depends on the CPU, rather than on the motherboard nowadays, since the memory controller is located on the CPU.

That being said, in that price range I'd suggest you consider the TUF X570-PLUS from ASUS, they also have a Wi-Fi variant if you need it.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC

on 3900x page on amd's site it says "

System Memory Specification
3200MHz"
Does this mean 3200 is optimal for it? Also, what about the asus is better? It has a worse audio codec and it is wifi 5 while the asrock is wifi 6

3200MHz is guaranteed to work, but I haven't heard people yet not being to get 3600MHz with a good memory kit with Zen 2.

The VRMs on the Asus board are quite a bit better, allowing for better upgradability in the future, but if you think you can take better advantage of the Asrock board's different audio codec and Wi-Fi 6 then by all means you can go with the Asrock board.

idk what vrm's are, how can you see that the asus has a better VRM and what is the advantage?

Better VRMs basically means there can be more current delivered to the CPU, without compromising on thermals, stability etc.

You can check the forum's motherboard tier list here: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1137619-motherboard-tier-list-v2-currently-amd-only/

Or you can look up people on the internet that really know what they're talking about when it comes to this stuff. For example, I'd suggest looking up Buildzoid, he's got a good video rounding up most X570 boards out there, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ti38JS8RuPU
