The Razer Kraken line is good, but the Razer Nari is better.  Plus the Krakens are MASSIVE.

Sweet. (But I cannot afford the Nari) And yes they do look massively silly.

So do I.  I tried the VOIDs on at Best Buy once and they refused to stay on my head.

Then I tried on the Corsair HS70 and bought it.  Great wireless headset with good battery life, good sound, and unmatched build quality for the price point, but the Corsair iCUE program that must run in the background for Corsair headsets to function will suck all the battery life out of a laptop like a vampire.  Thus, any Corsair headset is only suitable for desktop gamers.

To fix this problem, I bought an open box HyperX Cloud Stinger wireless which only needs a driver to work (so no battery feasting).  I would ABSOLUTELY recommend the HyperX Cloud Flight over it, but it's still a decent headset.

Ok I will have a think. Thx.

But it does look nice with that RGB lighting. May think about the G635, the wired version because I always forget to charge stuff.

There's no reason to buy headphones because of RGB because you won't see the damn thing when you use them... Therefore RGB on headphones is 100% useless.

If you want pre-made headset, Cooler Master MH751.

If you are ok with building your own, Philips SHP9500+V-moda Boompro

So I had the Razer Kraken Chroma 7.1's. My main complaint with them was the earcups were circles (unlike most headphones which are ovals to match ear shape) and they really dug in bad. They were bearable for  1-2 hours max but cause a lot of pain afterwards. The mic was excellent, but sound quality (to my non-audiophile ears) was mediocre at best.

These were the older model krakens (I think I bought them back in like 2015 or something), and I've noticed all of the newer model krakens still use circle ear cups but they are like twice the diameter and seem to use thicker cushions as well. But overall I really like my HyperX headphones, the sound quality was a big step forward (and I got them on sale on Amazon for like $75 too).

I have the Cloud Alpha models. They're pretty great, and it looks like they actually came out with a new Cloud Alpha S that gives it better surround sound and a better inline controller, worth the extra $30 in my opinion. I don't have experience with any of their other models so I can't say for sure but you can compare their features on their website if there is something else you want (like a wireless option).

My price range is about £30-£150 but I would say I want a decent one at around £60. Depends if it is good or not to my specs.

I could recommend steelseries arctis 3 or 4 since they are kinda cheap about £60 and i use arctis 4 daily for my console they are wired comfortable and have good sound quality

Reminder⚠️

I'm just speaking from experience so what I say may not work 100%

Please try searching up the answer before you post here but I am always glad to help

  • 2 months later...

I know this thread is quite old.

But I want to say thank you to you guys who helped me suggest a new headset. Since here in the UK, lockdown is very harsh and that caused alot of peripherals here in the UK to be on sale. I took this opportunity to buy the Razer Kraken 2019.

Yet again I want to say thank you to you all for the suggestions and support!
